And the costumes will be...

I was uncertain what the costumes would be (or if there would be any) until the moment we stepped out the door. Nathan was definitely not into dressing up last year when I wore his builder costume while he trick or treated in his regular clothes. This year we had several options in the house to see if he would warm up to one of them. There was a furry tiger (worn by Bea above), a simple tiger tail and ears, the Hulk (as pictured above) and a black cat ears and tail. 15 minutes before trick or treating, Nathan decided not to be the Hulk, but to go for the furry tiger. Fortunately, Bea does not have the same uncertainty about dressing up and almost any costume. She easily got excited about switching to a black cat.

faith, hope and love

"For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Cor 13:12-13

Pumpkins

Nathan demonstrating what he wanted his pumpkin face to look like. I think we actually got pretty close with an open mouth pumpkin with two hands flying up on his face.
Beatrice, with mixed feelings about the pumpkin goop.
